quality
A key factor in the development and continued success of the business has been its commitment to quality, safety, and reliability to sustain both customer confidence and satisfaction. The company first achieved ISO accreditation in 1998 and through to today has maintained these ever more demanding standards.

An integral part of the our progress and success has been in the quality of its workforce. Drivers, in the main, are LGV Class1 accredited and through extensive further education and training (both in-house and externally) qualify for national handling/roping and sheeting and specialist load security skills.
Transport managers are accredited with Certificates of Professional Competence (CPC) and all traffic co-ordinators and associated staff are encouraged to gain this qualification to ensure standards are maintained.
Workshops are manned and supervised by our own qualified and highly experienced technicians thereby ensuring that rigorous maintenance time tables are met.
Information Technology is a vital tool in the logistics business. Through constant investment in new technologies and maintaining our systems to optimum levels, we are able to access information quickly, providing effective and reliable responses to any enquires.
In addition to the ISO standards, Owens operates to a strict code of professional conduct defined by the FTA, RHA, TA and to other British Standard Codes of Practice relevant to the industry.
